At Restored Rehabilitation LLC we take a progressive approach to the rehabilitation of injuries. The team work of the therapist, and the patient is vital to a successful rehabilitation program. Our goal is to restore function and allow the patient to return to normal activity as soon as possible.
Our therapists are all licensed by the state of Texas and are actively involved in your program throughout your course of treatment. Your treatment will include a comprehensive initial evaluation and the development of an individualized treatment plan. We believe in creating an environment that allows close supervision and personalized care. This ensures that your program is performed safely and correctly. The Occupational Therapy section of Restored Rehabilitation LLC provides assessment and treatment to person's whose daily function has been impaired by physical or mental illness. Service is provided by licensed Occupational Therapists and licensed Occupational Therapy Assistants.
A physical therapist evaluates and guides a patient’s recovery from pain, an injury, or surgery by developing a treatment program. A treatment program can include joint/soft tissue mobilization, modalities, and exercise prescription. A physical therapist will help to maximize the patient's level of physical function by working with the patient to design a treatment program designed to his or her specific needs. Through Balance and ambulation training; flexibility and strengthening; mobility skills; movement control; equipment assessment; home exercise instruction.
Evaluation and treatment focus on specified functional activities such as bathing, dressing, writing, holding eating utensils, and compensation techniques for visual and perceptual deficits. Adaptive equipment provided by the occupational therapist will frequently enable patients to increase their independence performing daily tasks. By participating in self-care and purposeful activities while in therapy, the goal for the patients is to increase functional skills, enhance endurance, prevent disability. Assessment and Evaluation: Social workers visit with patients and their families and help them review their situations. Available resources are discussed and help provided to access them. Counseling: Social workers help patients and families deal with the emotions evoked by the onset of chronic and terminal illnesses. Social Workers help families with problem solving, education, family counseling, support and crisis intervention.  Community Resource Planning: Social workers provide information about community programs and resources to help patients and their families cope with chronic and terminal illnesses. The onset of a chronic or terminal disease can cause great turmoil within families. Emotions become intense and stress levels rise. Patients and their families not only have to cope with new medical diagnoses, but also with the financial, social and psychological stresses that accompany them.
